With the face of an angel — and a body that brings out devilish thoughts — Maryse Ouellet has most certainly left an impression in her six years as a WWE diva or one of her dozen Playboy appearances we’re still panting over.

Gone from the the sports entertainment juggernaut since October, the French-Canadian fashionista is embarking on new endeavors with the House of Maryse, her line of clothing, bikinis, lingerie and jewelry that kicks off this summer at more than 400 retail and online outlets.

We exclusively chat with the stunning diva to look back and forward, as she makes the transition from facelocks to fashion week.

Radar: Fellow WWE divas Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson have found themselves in A-list relationships; if you were single, who’d be your fantasy Hollywood hunk?

Maryse: I already found my a-list celebrity — my boyfriend, [MTV reality star-turned-WWE main eventer] Mike “The Miz” Mizanin.

Radar: An online rumor is that you’re married to The Miz; please clarify for the masses.

Maryse: No, we are not married. [Laughs]

Radar: If you could face off with any celeb into the ring who’d it be, and why: Lindsay Lohan, Lady Gaga or any of the Kardashian sisters?

Maryse: I would probably choose Lady Gaga cause I’m a huge fan of hers. Good or bad, I don’t know what would happen in the ring, but I wouldn’t care — I would let her beat me up — it’s OK, she’s Lady Gaga!

Radar: How did you think Snooki did in her match at last year’s Wrestlemania?

Maryse: She’s not a wrestler, that’s for sure! But to see her on Jersey Shore, then see her getting involved in the ring, it’s entertaining. It’s always very interesting to see what [celebrities are] gonna do in the ring. I was looking, watching and laughing!

Radar: What’s the coolest thing about wrestling: the money, the rush from the crowds or having your own action figure?

Maryse: Having your own action figure is pretty cool. When I was a little girl, I played with Barbie, just loved Barbie. So having my own action figure by Mattel, who made Barbie, that’s pretty cool.

But to me, that’s just one part of it: The biggest thrill was to walk out the curtain, to walk down the ramp. That’s something you really need to experience to understand … there’s no other job like it in the world — it’s very unique.

There are all kind of performers — actors, singers, stand-up comics — but what we do is very, very different … it’s like a soap opera with acrobatics. Performing in front of the crowds is one of the best things ever. Especially at Wrestlemania, in front of 90,000 people!

Whether you’re able to make them cheer or boo you — and in my case, I think I’m able to make them boo — it’s very special. And you’re working 300 shows a year, so every night is very exciting.

Yeah, I would say the crowd is the biggest thrill.

Radar: Why did you decide to leave WWE?

Maryse: I had a great six years with WWE, I was just ready to do something else. I have aspirations and there’s other stuff I want to work on, so I decided to go. That and for the simple fact that I didn’t want to be with the WWE for 25 years. I was there six years, I had my run, I wanted bigger and better things.

Right now, I’m working on other stuff — especially my fashion line, that’s taking a lot of time. Plus, living in Los Angeles, there’s so many other options, so I decided to jump. It’s exciting.

Radar: You said in a recent interview you would not be going to [wrestling promotion] TNA; why?

Maryse: I decided to leave wrestling for other aspirations I have. I’m not going to go to TNA, I’m loyal to WWE — it wouldn’t make any sense!

Smackdown comes back from a commercial break, and Michelle McCool is in the ring and she then steps out of the ring. Ring announcer Justin Roberts informs the crowd the winner of the match will receive a future Divas Championship match. Maria’s music hits, the crowd cheers, she skips down the ramp and enters the ring her in her black two pieced outfit. Then come’s Maryse’s music, she walks down the ramp in her beautiful two pieced white and silver outfit. Maria is ready for a lock up, Maryse act’s as if she is too. Maryse jumps back and leans on the ropes. Maryse then acts again if she will lock arms with Maria but again Maryse pull’s her arms back, Maria then slaps Maryse followed by repeated punches to the face. Maryse get’s out of the ring, followed by Maria. Maria run’s into a clothsline by Maryse. Maryse get’s a lock of Maria’s hair and throw’s her into the ring. Maryse goes as if she is going to pick up Maria but Maria then kick’s Maryse, Maryse kick’s back. Maryse grabs hold of Maria and does her signature face buster followed by a small amount of gloating, Maryse then cover’s Maria for a two count. Maria attempts to fight back, but Maryse slam’s Maria’s face into the mat followed by a four arm and a backbreaker on Maria. Maryse cover’s Maria for another two count. Maryse then slam’s Maria’s face into the mat repeatedly, then stomps on Maria and does her signature camel clutch. Maria succeeds at getting out of the move, but Maryse throw’s Maria right down followed by Maryse’s signature hair flip. Maryse then get’s Maria back in the camel clutch, but Maria get’s out of the move quickly and back’s up Maryse into the corner. Maryse then attempts a clothesline on Maria but Maria ducks under and hit’s repeated clotheslines on Maryse. Maria grabs Maryse, but Maryse knees Maria followed by four arm’s to Maria followed by throwing Maria into the corner. Maryse run’s into the corner but Maria reverses and elbow’s Maryse in the face. Maria goes to the second rope, and what looks to be a clothesline on Maryse is reversed, Maryse ducks out of the way into the corner. Maryse then does her finishing move on Maria, the French Kiss DDT and cover’s Maria for the three count.

MARYSE OUELLET : FROM LAVAL-DES-RAPIDES TO L.A.

A lot of things happened since she left Quebec five years ago. Maryse Ouellet, who always wanted to do cinema and television, lives her Hollywood dream in Los Angeles.

The 28 years old blonde woman (whose birthday is on January 21st) keeps great memories of Laval. “I remember the fun we had biking in the streets around the Sainte-Cécile elementary school. I really liked sports.” says Maryse Ouellet in excellent French she continues to use with her mother, every week.

Athletic

Before her departure to the American dream, the young woman did modeling for different events and participated in a few beauty & personality contests. She won the title of Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada in 2003 and finished second in the international component, in 2004. That second place gave her the opportunity to travel all around the world. The popular magazine Playboy offered her something she couldn’t refuse. She made the cover of it 3 times. To date, she stays among the models whose photos have been the most downloaded in the world. In 2006, she decided to try out in the fourth Diva Search contest of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). “It’s a bet I did with my friends just because I didn’t even know one word in English.” We made a video in my living room, in Terrebonne. WWE really liked what they saw. I’ve been asked to go in Cleveland, Ohio to join the competition.

A remarkable performance

Maryse Ouellet didn’t win the contest but she really impressed the direction of the wrestling federation so she received a development contract. The WWE adventure then started for the young lady. To improve her knowledge of wrestling and English, she’s been sent to Louisville, Kentucky. “It has been a shock, a drastic change in my life. I wasn’t perfectly fluent yet and I was used to nightlife, to a life full of action. There, it was the complete opposite!” After a little more than 6 months, she’s been transferred to Tampa, Florida. Then, in March 2008, she made her debut in WWE on SmackDown. From the beginning, Maryse wanted to make sure her opinions would be respected. “They wanted me to act like a nice girl. I knew it wouldn’t work. I wanted to be a heel. Finally, they believed in me.”

SHE MAKES HER WAY TO THE WWE CIRCUS

Despite the huge talent there was in the locker-room and the harsh competition being waged by the characters to make their way in front of the cameras, Maryse Ouellet quickly seized her opportunity.

Less than one year after she started, Maryse lived one of the most beautiful moments of her career. She won the Divas Championship. “A magic moment, an unspeakable thrill. At 4 pm I learned I would win it, in a match less than 5 hours later. Nevertheless, as long as I didn’t have the belt around my waist, I wasn’t sure of anything. The script could have changed at the last minute.” She retained her title for 7 months, the longest reign ever. In April 2009, she’s been drafted to the most important division of the WWE, RAW. She stayed in it until the end of her association with the company, in October 2011.

Meeting great people

Maryse keeps excellent memories of her time in the most popular wrestling federation in the world. “The first time I met Hulk Hogan we ate together. He was always talking about his daughter, Brooke. Last year, I talked with The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) at Wrestlemania, he’s an awesome guy.” She developed friendships with other athletes like The Big Show and Zack Ryder. The French Canadian also found her soul mate, Michael Gregory Mizanin (The Miz) with who she’s in a love relationship since a few years.

Exhausting schedule

In a five-year career in the world of wrestling, Maryse Ouellet almost never been home. “We were traveling 300 days a year. There was no routine. I haven’t unpacked my suitcase for 3 years! We visited approximately 25 countries a year. Fatigue, stress and wrestling almost every night cost her a lot physically. “I broke my nose, teeth, suffered an abdominal hernia and dislocated my right knee, which needed a surgery.” WWE and Maryse both agreed on the release, in October. “They wanted me to sign a 5 years contract but that’s not what I wanted. I had other projects in mind.”

Entrepreneur

Free of any commitment, last fall she announced the launching of her clothes and accessories line, House of Maryse. “I love fashion, I adore tendencies. I will propose to women swimsuits, underwear, jewellery, handbags, sun glasses and more. If everything goes well, the project should officially start in summer 2012.” Meanwhile, the graduated in business administration from the Montmorency College never stops working. “I’m recording a lot of pilot-programs right now. I’m also appearing on TV from one to two times a week on various channels.”

Kelly’s music hit’s as she walk’s and enters the ring in a small two piece red outfit, then Maryse’s music hit’s and she comes out in a small two piece brown outfit. She enters the ring and does her signature hairflip. The bell sounds, Maryse does her hairflip right in Kelly’s face. Kelly then starts giving fourarms to Maryse in the face, she then throws Maryse into the ropes and does a takedown and starts smashing her head into the ground. Maryse then roll’s over onto Kelly and does the same, and then gives Kelly a hard right hand in to Kelly’s head. Maryse start’s trash talking Kelly and what seem’s to be a kick to Kelly, but Kelly reverses the kick and clotheslines Maryse repeated by a dropkick and a cross body off the top rope and cover’s Maryse for a two count. Kelly then attempts to hit Maryse with her signature backflip in the corner, Maryse reverses the move, Kelly then kick’s Maryse and travel’s to the top rope with a lock of Maryse’s hair. Maryse reverses Kelly’s move, grabs her arm and flips Kelly off of the top rope followed by the French Kiss DDT and cover’s Kelly for the three count.

As most of you all know Maryse did a live interview with Hit The Ropes. I kept track of the interview over twitter. Below are some stuff that came up during the interview. Which includes questions from both the Hit The Ropes host and co-host, over the phone questions and chat room questions.

In the interview Maryse mentions that the divas deserve much more time. She thinks they deserve much more time in the ring, more mic, time and just basically more television time. I completely agree with Maryse on this and I’m glad this came up in the interview. Maryse feel’s WWE is just pushing the divas down and they deserve to be brought back up and show what they can actually do in the ring instead of one or two minute matches.

When Maryse was released from her contract with WWE, there was so much buzz about it, rumors began that she asked for her release as she became bored with WWE. In her interview this came up; she say’s she did indeed get bored with WWE. She feel’s it’s the next chapter and she would like to expand her acting career and grow as an entertainer.

High School Maryse: What was Maryse like in high school and so on as she became older. Maryse says she was very athletic, she was very involved in sports always hanging out with the guys playing sports. Maryse says one of her favorite sports she absolutely loved to do was play hockey. But as she got older and around the age of 18 and 19 she became very into fashion, she started loving all of the fashion, make-up, dresses, ect.

It is no surprise that Maryse’s stalker we found out about previously last year, Ouellet says the stalker sent her 100′s of letters to her house as well as her email address and calling her multiple times during the day. As we know Maryse got a restraining order against the stalker and she say’s she hasn’t herd from him ever since and she hope it continues to stay that way.

Back on a WWE subject, one of the hosts of the interview ask’s Maryse if she had the opportunity to feud with any diva of her choosing, who would it be? Maryse imitatively says it would be Lita. She loves Lita’s character, and is a big reason why Maryse went to WWE.

A caller question asks Maryse if she will ever be updating her online store over at her official website, FrenchKissMaryse.Com. Maryse say’s she really hasn’t thought about updating it, but since she has fan’s that would like her to she will be doing so as soon as she possibly can. She say’s it could be updated with new products as soon as next week or even next month. Another related question is what are Maryse’s upcoming appearances? Maryse say’s she has an upcoming appearance in Los Angeles and then will be having one in Miami and Chicago and everything will be confirmed on FrenchKissMaryse.com.

Another caller question asked Maryse who was her favorite diva to work with, Maryse’s answer was Beth Phoenix and Natalya. Another question related to this is what Maryse will miss most about WWE. Maryse say’s she will miss everything about it. The traveling, her character and most of all the lifelong friends she has made while her time in WWE.

Maryse then enters the ring in her red and white attire. As the bell sounds Maryse then does her signature hair flip, continuing on Kelly does the same. Maryse takes down Kelly and starts punching her repeatedly in the head, she then picks up Kelly and brings her down into a back breaker and covers Kelly for a two count and Maryse again covers Kelly for another two count. Maryse then slams Kelly’s face into the mat repeatedly. As it looks like Maryse is going to do an irish whip on Kelly into the corner, Kelly reverses the move and does an irish whip on Maryse into the corner followed by a clothsline and repeated two more times. Kelly get’s Maryse into the corner and pulls off her signature backflip onto Maryse followed by a dropkick and covers Maryse for a two count. Kelly then get’s on top of Maryse and starts to punch her repeatedly in the head. The two then battle it out rolling around the ring giving each other four arms to the head for a few seconds. Maryse has then rolled out of the ring, as if she is taking a break; Kelly chases after her but Maryse throw’s Kelly onto the announcing table and punches her in the head repeatedly. She then over the announcing table. The referee then disqualify’s Maryse. It is then explained by ring announcer Lillian Garcia, Kelly won the match but Maryse retained the Divas Championship.
