Those spoken to within WWE aren’t aware if there is any particular incident or reason that Ted DiBiase isn’t receiving a stronger push on television. However, more than one person feels Maryse is struggling to work as an effective valet. One source indicated that the former glamour model appears much more concerned with drawing attention to herself and getting herself over rather than enhancing DiBiase’s matches and overall presentation.

The original script for last night’s Raw featured Divas champion Natalya vs. Maryse. They were ready to go but were cut from the show when the show ran long and it was decided to give that time to the CM Punk/John Cena segment.

I would expect we’ll just see the bout next week instead.

Parma, Ohio native The Miz stopped by the Sip N Post restaurant (which is owned by his uncle) in North Royalton Wednesday to sign autographs. In tow with the new WWE Champion was fellow WWE star Maryse, who did not take part in an official autograph session.

In regards to whether the two are dating, Maryse claimed in an interview last month with The Sun that she has a boyfriend who is not a wrestler.

The current Diva-exclusive season of NXT — coupled with an ongoing recruitment drive by WWE officials to hire more models, which it can train as professional wrestlers — indicate that cuts will be made to the female roster in due time.

According to the UK based wrestling magazine, Power Slam, the list of females whose jobs are considered safe in the company is limited to Michelle McCool, Layla, Beth Phoenix, Maryse, Kelly Kelly, Melina, and “possibly” Natalya and Eve Torres.

Those not listed are considered expendable by officials.
