Maryse recently did an audio interview with wrestling news website, Gerweck.net. In the interview Maryse talks about her experience in the 2006 WWE diva search, training in Ohio Valley Wrestling, developing her heel character, the highlight of her WWE experience, co-hosting NXT, dating The Miz, and managing Ted DiBiase. Maryse also talks about departing from WWE, why she is not interesting in working for TNA, and what the future holds for her.

With the face of an angel — and a body that brings out devilish thoughts — Maryse Ouellet has most certainly left an impression in her six years as a WWE diva or one of her dozen Playboy appearances we’re still panting over.

Gone from the the sports entertainment juggernaut since October, the French-Canadian fashionista is embarking on new endeavors with the House of Maryse, her line of clothing, bikinis, lingerie and jewelry that kicks off this summer at more than 400 retail and online outlets.

We exclusively chat with the stunning diva to look back and forward, as she makes the transition from facelocks to fashion week.

Radar: Fellow WWE divas Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson have found themselves in A-list relationships; if you were single, who’d be your fantasy Hollywood hunk?

Maryse: I already found my a-list celebrity — my boyfriend, [MTV reality star-turned-WWE main eventer] Mike “The Miz” Mizanin.

Radar: An online rumor is that you’re married to The Miz; please clarify for the masses.

Maryse: No, we are not married. [Laughs]

Radar: If you could face off with any celeb into the ring who’d it be, and why: Lindsay Lohan, Lady Gaga or any of the Kardashian sisters?

Maryse: I would probably choose Lady Gaga cause I’m a huge fan of hers. Good or bad, I don’t know what would happen in the ring, but I wouldn’t care — I would let her beat me up — it’s OK, she’s Lady Gaga!

Radar: How did you think Snooki did in her match at last year’s Wrestlemania?

Maryse: She’s not a wrestler, that’s for sure! But to see her on Jersey Shore, then see her getting involved in the ring, it’s entertaining. It’s always very interesting to see what [celebrities are] gonna do in the ring. I was looking, watching and laughing!

Radar: What’s the coolest thing about wrestling: the money, the rush from the crowds or having your own action figure?

Maryse: Having your own action figure is pretty cool. When I was a little girl, I played with Barbie, just loved Barbie. So having my own action figure by Mattel, who made Barbie, that’s pretty cool.

But to me, that’s just one part of it: The biggest thrill was to walk out the curtain, to walk down the ramp. That’s something you really need to experience to understand … there’s no other job like it in the world — it’s very unique.

There are all kind of performers — actors, singers, stand-up comics — but what we do is very, very different … it’s like a soap opera with acrobatics. Performing in front of the crowds is one of the best things ever. Especially at Wrestlemania, in front of 90,000 people!

Whether you’re able to make them cheer or boo you — and in my case, I think I’m able to make them boo — it’s very special. And you’re working 300 shows a year, so every night is very exciting.

Yeah, I would say the crowd is the biggest thrill.

Radar: Why did you decide to leave WWE?

Maryse: I had a great six years with WWE, I was just ready to do something else. I have aspirations and there’s other stuff I want to work on, so I decided to go. That and for the simple fact that I didn’t want to be with the WWE for 25 years. I was there six years, I had my run, I wanted bigger and better things.

Right now, I’m working on other stuff — especially my fashion line, that’s taking a lot of time. Plus, living in Los Angeles, there’s so many other options, so I decided to jump. It’s exciting.

Radar: You said in a recent interview you would not be going to [wrestling promotion] TNA; why?

Maryse: I decided to leave wrestling for other aspirations I have. I’m not going to go to TNA, I’m loyal to WWE — it wouldn’t make any sense!

As most of you all know Maryse did a live interview with Hit The Ropes. I kept track of the interview over twitter. Below are some stuff that came up during the interview. Which includes questions from both the Hit The Ropes host and co-host, over the phone questions and chat room questions.

In the interview Maryse mentions that the divas deserve much more time. She thinks they deserve much more time in the ring, more mic, time and just basically more television time. I completely agree with Maryse on this and I’m glad this came up in the interview. Maryse feel’s WWE is just pushing the divas down and they deserve to be brought back up and show what they can actually do in the ring instead of one or two minute matches.

When Maryse was released from her contract with WWE, there was so much buzz about it, rumors began that she asked for her release as she became bored with WWE. In her interview this came up; she say’s she did indeed get bored with WWE. She feel’s it’s the next chapter and she would like to expand her acting career and grow as an entertainer.

High School Maryse: What was Maryse like in high school and so on as she became older. Maryse says she was very athletic, she was very involved in sports always hanging out with the guys playing sports. Maryse says one of her favorite sports she absolutely loved to do was play hockey. But as she got older and around the age of 18 and 19 she became very into fashion, she started loving all of the fashion, make-up, dresses, ect.

It is no surprise that Maryse’s stalker we found out about previously last year, Ouellet says the stalker sent her 100′s of letters to her house as well as her email address and calling her multiple times during the day. As we know Maryse got a restraining order against the stalker and she say’s she hasn’t herd from him ever since and she hope it continues to stay that way.

Back on a WWE subject, one of the hosts of the interview ask’s Maryse if she had the opportunity to feud with any diva of her choosing, who would it be? Maryse imitatively says it would be Lita. She loves Lita’s character, and is a big reason why Maryse went to WWE.

A caller question asks Maryse if she will ever be updating her online store over at her official website, FrenchKissMaryse.Com. Maryse say’s she really hasn’t thought about updating it, but since she has fan’s that would like her to she will be doing so as soon as she possibly can. She say’s it could be updated with new products as soon as next week or even next month. Another related question is what are Maryse’s upcoming appearances? Maryse say’s she has an upcoming appearance in Los Angeles and then will be having one in Miami and Chicago and everything will be confirmed on FrenchKissMaryse.com.

Another caller question asked Maryse who was her favorite diva to work with, Maryse’s answer was Beth Phoenix and Natalya. Another question related to this is what Maryse will miss most about WWE. Maryse say’s she will miss everything about it. The traveling, her character and most of all the lifelong friends she has made while her time in WWE.

On Tuesday December 13th the world famous NOH8 Campaign celebrated 3 years of activism! NOH8 is an organization that fights for equality for all & I was invited to attend their 3rd annual anniversary celebration, which was hosted at the House of Blues, on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood!

It was such an incredible evening & I was so happy that I could be a part of such an important & wonderful celebration. I strongly believe that all people should be treated equally & that everyone should have the same rights regardless of their sexuality & so having the opportunity to be a part of this special evening really meant a lot to me!

Always after a Diva or Superstar departs from WWE, the million dollar question is….”Will they join Impact Wrestling?” Well the answer for Maryse is pretty clear according to some sources.

Don’t look for former WWE Diva Maryse to pop up in TNA. A source close to Maryse says that she lost interest in performing months ago and if she wanted to wrestle, it would be for WWE only.
